Monty's earliest memory was related to sound - the noise of himself wailing loudly as a baby. At 5, he started learning violin and performed with the B&H Junior Youth Orchestra. He started, age 8, as a chorister at All Saints Church but sings tenor now. In his early teens, he taught himself bass guitar, briefly sharing a stage with Squeeze's Chris Difford. He cultivated his flair for music composition by "borrowing" his mum's phone to make songs on GarageBand. At college, he dived headlong into electronic music production and graduated from Solent University in 2020 with a BSc in Sound for Film, TV and Games. His proudest audio moments include working on the BBC's Children in Need HMS Victory OB, being Head of Tech for Solent Uni’s own Dolby Atmos cinema and working on sound design, foley and audio post production in short films.
